As seen on CBS "Sunday Morning!"
These papers are made from recycled products with the addition of abaca, cotton rag, and plants gathered from Alaska’s abundant supply of natural material. The rough edges, or “deckled edges,” are an effect achieved by individually molding each sheet. These edges add to the unique beauty of the handmade paper.
major part of the satisfaction I get from the creation of handmade paper comes from the knowledge that I’ve developed a quality and esthetically beautiful product, but not at the expense of the environment. Great care is taken to ensure that no living plant is sacrificed for the sake of the paper. Only recyclable materials are used in the creative process. Thanks to friends who donate their recyclable extras, I'm able to achieve this goal. Uniting my love for nature and art is my main motivation in this project and daily life.
Paper-making is a labor of love. Each paper and design has its own personality and some of the artist's as well. I believe when you give a card, it should reflect your taste and spirit. You'll enjoy sharing these inspired pieces of art...or perhaps treasuring them as your own.
